last night a fellow photographer’s car was broken into and all of her camera stuff was stolen.  none of  it was insured.  it is so tragic that there are such slimeballs out there that would do something like this!  the police believe she was targeted and followed and to me that is beyond scary!!  my friend and amazing photographer dustin izatt has set up a link on his blog for people to donate toward this situation.   if everyone donates even just a little, hopefully we can help her build back her equipment.    please everyone be careful and DON’t leave your camera equipment unattended in your cars!  and if you don’t have insurance, get it immediately!!  i don’t and i am getting quotes from people today!  you can read her whole story on her blog.

when the fed ex man dropped this off on my porch, it was like christmas!  i was so excited to get this image printed on a huge 20×35 canvas.  me and my husband decided this would be our anniversary present to each other and i could hardly wait!!  canvases are a great addition to any room and there is no need to frame them.  the image wraps around the sides so it looks incredible at all angels.  i strongly encourage everyone to order one today!!!  email me for details and pricing- amanda@amandaabelphoto.com

my sweet savana is 4 today.  i cannot believe how these years have flown by!  it makes me so sad to see her grow up so fast, but so happy to see how wonderful of a girl she is  growing up to be!  savana is my little firecracker.  she is so wild and crazy and unpredictable!  she definetely keeps me running!  i love her so much and am the luckiest person alive to have such a wonderful and amazing little angel!!!

breck and kyles wedding was fabulous!!  they got married on july 24th, 2009.  they had their ceremony at log haven and had their reception in breck’s parents backyard.  it was all decorated so amazing!!  i loved all of their details!  their ceremony was so incredible.  there was not a dry eye there.  kyle was so emotional the second he saw breck walking down the aisle.  i absolutely love it when the groom cries!!!    enjoy!!!

 this is my nephew taggart.  aren’t i lucky to have the cutest boy ever to take pictures of?!?   he is so funny!  we got a total of about 5 shots with these balloons until they flew away.  he was so shocked he just kept saying “uh-oh”  but the few that we did get are so cute!  then the rest of the time he just wanted to run.  he seriously did not stop the entire time, so i had to get a little bit creative with these shots.  i love the way they turned out though!  enjoy!!!

with christmas right around the corner, i start thinking of ways i can help out those in need.  here is the perfect opportuntiy to help.  i just read about this charity on a blog that i follow. it is definetely something i will be participating in.    basically every week you commit to buying 2 “recommended”  food items. (they will be listed on this blog  every monday starting october 12th) at the end of 9 weeks you donate them to the local food bank.    (just in time for christmas).  some of the food items on the list will not even equal $1.  we ALL have $2 a week that we are able to spend!   then you commit to getting at least 3 other people to join in the project.  here is a chart she posted on her blog of the amount of food that could be donated if everyone gets 3 other people to participate.  the numbers are astounding!!!
