Archive for November, 2007

I am so sorry to all of my bride’s and everyone checking my blog to find nothing new. I am so far behind on blogging (we are talking back to the first of October), so I am going to post a few pictures from the sessions I have done, in no particular order, and try really hard to get back on top. Enjoy…
Heather and Ryan are a referral from one of my greatest past couple’s Heather and Jay. We did Heather and Ryan’s engagements at Antelope Island just a few weeks ago, on probably the coldest day in history. But we survived and I love how the pictures turned out. By the way, does anyone else find this weird? I just booked my 7th Heather for the year. I think it is crazy…

Courtney and Dan’s wedding was at the first of November. I loved working with these two. Their wedding was a blast and they were up for anything. I am totally in love with Courtney’s ability to make a serious face at any time. It was awesome.

I shot Lauren and Nolo’s Wedding at the first of October. These two were so great to work with and we had a lot of fun. Have I ever mentioned that I have the best clients!?!

Christina and Daron were married at the end of October. Daron had been serving in Afghanistan (I hope I spelled that right) and he got home 3 weeks before the wedding. These two were so cute and so in love. It was just so wonderful to be around them and be part of thier incredible day.

Heather and Rex were married at the first of October at the Chantilly Mansion in Layton. I really truely enjoyed every minute I spent with these two. Heather is the sweetest girl ever. She was so nervous before the wedding. It was so cute.

Vanessa and Mario were married at the first of November at the Tuscany Gardens in Roy. I feel truely blessed to have been a part of this wedding. For one thing, I love shooting at the Tuscany Gardens. The staff there is awesome and it is a beautiful building. Also, Vanessa and Mario’s families are so close and it was a very emotional day. I even got teary eyed on several occasions. Their families have so much love for each other and it was very apparent. Vanessa and Mario were so fun and willing to work with my ideas. Thanks for such a wonderful experience!

Thank you to all of my bride’s, groom’s and families. I really do have the best clients and I have been so blessed with such wonderful experiences.

I have changed my company name to Amanda Abel Photography and have some more big changes coming to my business. I will be increasing my prices at the end of November so if anyone is interested in booking at my current prices, your wedding must be booked by November 30. Let me know what you think of my new logo and name. My friend Anne owns a graphic design business and will be getting into wedding invitations as well. She does an amazing job! If anyone is interested in a new logo or promotional material design, shoot me an email and I will get you her information. amanda@simplybeautifulphoto.com

You might have to teach me how to do a photo header~ :)

Kellee Smith: AMANDA - I am so happy about your changes. I LOVE THE NEW NAME! I know you have been thinking about this for a long long time and I am so glad you changed. The logo looks amazing! YEA!

ErinL: Love the new logo and the new pics on your site!
Send me your friend's info I might want a logo as well.

silvernic: Very Nice Amanda. I like your new pricing as well. I'm a little annoyed that your logo utilizes the same font as mine, but I'll probably get over it!

I shot Holly and Chad’s engagements at Antelope Island last night. They were such a blast! I loved being around these two. They are so much fun! They met on a blind date in August, were engaged in September and are getting married in January. Despite the short amount of time they have been together, they are so in love! And so funny. When they weren’t kissing, they were laughing and cracking jokes. Thanks Holly and Chad for such a great time and I am looking so forward to your wedding! There are a ton of pictures so, Enjoy…

This one makes me laugh so hard. Holly and Chad were such good sports putting up with me while we were waiting for the sunset.

Photographs By Tiffany: These are fantastic Amanda!!
Love them!!!

Kellee Smith: Amanda, these two look like they are full of personality. I LOVE these pictures. The lighting of the first one is amazing. I am a sucker for a good lens flare... Great work!

Shellee Draper: Amanda, I love this engagment. The last shot is so GREAT! I really like the new logo and name too!

Halloween….

November 7, 2007

Here is a few quick pictures of my girls on Halloween. Jayde was, of course, Hannah Montana. And Savana was a witch. Enjoy…

Photographs By Tiffany: Soooo cute!!
What little dolls!!

Shellee Draper: Hilarious costumes! Very fun! I knew what Jayde was Hanna Montana before I even looked at the text. Priceless!

Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus (for those who don’t know, it is the same person.) and the Jonas Brothers came to concert a couple of weeks ago and we were lucky enough to get tickets! Can I say first off it was a stinking BLAST! I had so much fun, I cannot even describe. Hannah Montana is a household name for us. We eat, drink, sleep and live everything Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus because I have a 5 year old daughter who is completely obsessed! She was even Hannah Montana for Halloween! But I do have to admit, that I really like her as well. And I now love the Jonas Brother! What can I say, I am a kid at heart! Anyways… When we found out she was coming in concert we had to get tickets. We were bummed when the first show was sold out, but she decided to put on another one. And I tell you it was the one to be at. For all of you who left early, you missed out:)!!! Our tickets were great… Second row from the top! In the upper bowl! LOL! But they were filming that show and after Miley sang her last song, about a fourth of the people left. Then she came out and sang one more song, and after that was over, about half of the people who were still there got up and left. Well, we stuck around and got to go down to probably the 17th row in the lower bowl. The Jonas Brother came back and sang 3 or 4 more songs and Miley came out and sang 4 more songs. It was awesome! I think me and my husband had more fun than our daughter!!! She had a blast though and was so excited (we didn’t tell her we had tickets until we were almost there, which added to the excitement.) I have some pictures to post but they are not they best.. remember, second row from the top! Enjoy….
The Jonas Brothers, From way up high!!!
I loved this picture for some reason :)
Ummm…. Nosebleed section!

Hannah Montana, From way up high!!
Jonas Brothers again, A little better this time. This is after we got to go down.

And Miley Cyrus in the lower bowl!

Photographs By Tiffany: You are such a cute mom!!
That is so fun that you surprised her with tickets!!
I love the shots you got of the concert. Those are really great!!
Looks like a lot of fun~

Shellee Draper: HOW STINKING FUN!!! I LOVE that song that she sings with her dad, Get Ready, Get Set Don't go. . . it's a tearjerker and I don't even have any girls! How fun thanks for sharing!
