my absolute favorite!!

Just finished reading harry potter 5! Now off to buy the movie!! I am officially obsessed!! 1 week ago

my absolute favorite!!

it has been a great monday! i know most people think that mondays are lame but honestly i kind of like them. it is my day to start over and to feel refreshed for the week. the kids and husband go back to school and work so i can get my house clean again from the weekend. i get to start back with my gym routine and hope that maybe one day i will actually commit to eating healthier so that all of the hours at the gym will actually count! speaking of the gym i am a member of golds gym and i love it! i went up there this morning and decided that i would try running on the treadmill again. if anyone knows me, they know that i hate running! like i totally despise running! but i thought i would give it a shot today since i usually just do the eliptical and i needed a little change up. so i jump on the treadmill thinking i would do my normal PAINFUL 1 mile run/walk. like literally i run for about 3 minutes and walk for 2. it is that bad!! no seriously! i push myself through the most painful 10 minutes of my life when i get on the treadmill. get the point? ok, so i get on the treadmill, warm up for a couple of minutes, then start my run and to my surprise it was totally not hard at all! i ran 3 miles straight! 3 MILES!! it was totally insane! i literally did not stop except for like 30 seconds at mile 2. it was just plain wierd! so i guess that makes me a runner now? haha! except now the pain is starting to set in and my hips hurt and my legs hurt and i feel like an old grandma! but it is good pain! i totally did something i have never done before and it feels great! oh and i got my house cleaned spotless so bring it on tuesday!
now on to this amazing couple whose wedding i get the priveledge of shooting this saturday. me and brock went up to red butte gardens on friday after having to reschedule with laura a several due to location and weather issues, but it was totally worth the wait! these two are seriously amazing! laura looked so gorgeous in her dress and was totally awesome about not worrying about it getting dirty even though her wedding is in a week. it opens up so many doorways when the bride is so relaxed about her dress! and sean look killer in his grey pinstriped suit from italy and purple tie. these two seriously win for most fashionable couple of the year! and most awesome couple at that. i felt like i totally clicked with both of them right away. this was the first time i had met them, but laura felt like she could’ve been my best friend for years! they were both so sweet to us and to each other. i love all the romantic shots we got. seriously these pictures are some of my favorites of all time! laura and sean, you guys totally rock!!

pyper and kyle got married at the draper temple and they knew they wouldn’t have much time on their wedding day to do bride and groom shots, so we did them before the wedding instead. This is such a great idea for those brides who want to take a little pressure off the wedding day and enjoy your time. i absolutely love doing these sessions!

Kellee smith: I had to go back up to the top and see what temple that was because I did not recognize it. So PRETTY! Great work Amanda. Can't wait to see you next week!
shanda: I love these. You are awesome! I love the first one and the color one with the full temple in theh back. You rock:)
i shot abbey’s bridals at the beehive tea room in salt lake in the middle of december. i had never shot there before and i absolutely loved it! i will defintely be shooting there again. i loved all of the fun lighting i was able to do and 90% of it was off camera. my lovely assistant brock was there to help help with lighting. it was such a nice change to be able to do something different. and abbey was amazing! isn’t she gorgeous.?!?! she seriously looks like a movie star. she was so awesome to work with. abbey is also a photographer and will be going to photography school in london. isnt that so awesome! it is always such a HUGE honor when another photographer picks you to do their wedding. her wedding was also incredible and i will be posting it soon!
let me know what you think! i love comments!

you may remeber sindra from her engagements. i am a little behind on blogging her bridals since she has already gotten married, but better late than never. these were just to awesome not to blog! sindra has been such an amazing bride to work with. she is gorgeous, fun, loves to laugh and this girl knows how to pose! she was so easy to work with and totally rocked this shoot. we started her bridals at thanksgiving point and then went and shot around downtown salt lake before it got too dark. sindra was every photographers dream bride! she had 2 dresses, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 bouqets and balloons. and she wasn’t even a bridezilla!!! she is just as sweet as can be! i loved working with her and if you are reading this sindra… you better call me when you start having babies!! haha!! on another note, i have about 18 sessions to post so hopefully i will be able to start rolling through this week and next! my goal is to get them all on the blog soon!

my fav!!!!

brock: Ah... Sindra, both her and her finace and family were great people to work with. Amanda, you really rocked the light in the last two, I love it!
