Diana and Matt got married on a beautiful, sunny February day. They got married at the Salt Lake Temple and had a fabulous reception at The Woods on Ninth. These two were so much fun to work with!! Check out their video by the amazing Kale Fitch below!!

I shot this session last summer but as I mentioned before, I am trying to catch up on blogging old sessions Bethany and Weston both work for the airlines so they wanted to incorporate that into their session and I LOVED that! I love it when couples want to personalize their sessions! So we started at the Hill Air Force Base museum. Then we went an shot some in Downtown Ogden. Let me know what you think!!
A couple of days ago I posted about Heather’s birth story. Well…….here is the little ones newborn pictures! Isn’t she to DIE for!! She is just so sweet and so perfect!! I don’t do the typical newborn photography because honestly, I have just never invested the time and money into all of the equipment that is necessary so I prefer to do more of a lifestyle newborn session. I go to the newborns home and shoot around their house, crib, nursery, whatever looks appealing to me. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE and drool over the things people are able to do with newborns, but honestly it is just not what I do If you are intersted in booking a lifestyle newborn session with me, contact me for pricing!! amanda@amandaabelphoto.com
I am SUPER excited that one of my weddings was featured on Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine’s Blog! What an honor! If you remember last January I shot Sarah and Kyle’s wedding in Evanston, Wyoming. I submitted it via Two Bright Lights and they got it out to Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine to feature it! Click here to see the feature and thank you Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine and Sarah and Kyle for having an awesome wedding :)
I shot Heather and Jay’s wedding back in 2007. Since then I have done several family shoots from both of their families, their cousins and siblings weddings, Heather’s maternity and newborn for their first baby, and now Heather’s birth story and newborns for their second baby! On the night of January 15th I got a text at 3:15 in the morning from Heather saying they were on their way to the hospital. She said she would let me know when she got checked and if it was time to come up. I got dressed and got my equipment in the car and by then she let me know it was time!! No false alarms I only live about 10 minutes from the hospital so I headed up there and started shooting!
Heather is one brave momma! She went completely natural and I felt so bad for her and all of her pain! At 6:15am baby Robin was born! This was my second birth story I have done and both of them I bawled like a baby! I don’t think it will get any better with time. It is such a special and amazing moment. There is nothing quite like seeing a new little life come into this world. Robin was so beautiful and precious! I feel so priveledged to have gotten to be a part of this special moment in two amazing peoples lives!
I don’t usually post a lot of pictures from the birth story in the blog post because I feel like the slideshow is a much better way to tell this story. Be sure and check it out at the bottom of the post. (don’t worry, it’s PG)
If you or someone you know is interested in a birth story, you can contact me at amanda@amandaabelphoto.com.
I love the precious details, like dad holding moms hand during the laboring process.

Grandma and baby
my FAVORITE!!!
I went back up the hospital a little later so I could get some shots of their first child meeting his baby sister for the first time.
I had another post lined up for today but felt like this was too important to let pass by. This morning as I was getting ready, I got a link on my facebook from my brother to go and watch this video. I ran down to my computer when I got a free minute to see what it was. I watched the video, cried and decided this is something that needs some serious support and recognition.
If it were the 70′s I would SO be a hippie! My husband tells me all the time!! HAHA! I just want to save the world and always think, “what can one person do?” Well watch this video and you will see what one person can do. If each and every one of us gets involved we can make a HUGE change!
Watch this video to see what you can do to make a difference. I know I am going to be supporting this cause and I think you should too! Let’s change the world together!!
And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE share this with everyone you know!!
Bailee and Matt got married on a beautiful August day in 2011. You may remember their engagements and bridals. These guys were the best!! I absolutely LOVED every second I got to spend with them! Here is their beautiful wedding day! Bailee has impeccable style and I loved every detail of their wedding. They got married at the Salt Lake Temple and had their reception in Matt’s backyard in Kaysville. It was so gorgeous! I would LOVE to have a backyard like his with so many trees! Oh and did I mention Bailee had an amazing voice and sang a song for Matt. It was great! Thank you Bailee and Matt for allowing me to be a part of your big day!
On another note, I just found a way to bulk add these images into my blog!!!!!! This is HUGE! I used to have to add them one by one and it was such a huge pain so you will definitely be seeing more blog posts from me now
LOVE Their shoes!!
My favorite!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the details!
They had cupcakes instead of a cake
Her flowers were to DIE for!! By Willow and Wildflowers. I will definitely be referring them to all of my brides!
ring ceremony before the recption.
The first dance. My favorite part of the whole wedding!!
Living in a house with 3 girls you can imagine the amount of hairspray we go through!! And it doesn’t only end up on our heads….It ends up on the floors and the walls and the cabinets and the door. I have tried scrubbing and cleaning with everything under the sun. So when I saw this link on Pinterest I had to give it a try.
First you just fill up a spray bottle with 1/3 shampoo and 2/3 water. Then I sprayed it all over my tile. (It was a big mess!) Then I mopped the floor with a mop and water and wiped it dry with a towel and guess what….
It worked like a charm!!
I haven’t done my walls and door yet so that is my next project
Bailee and Matt’s bridals last year and it is one of my favorite bridal sessions EVER!! Don’t these two look incredible! And the location was to die for! (not to mention close to my house, which is always a plus!) I loved everything about this session, from her dress and hair, to his suit and the flowers.
I absolutely loved working with these two and am so sad their wedding is over I am always sad when I am done with weddings because i have the most fabulous couples who become such a huge part of my life for a short period of time. It was so hard to narrow down the pictures I would be featuring on my blog but here they are…..Let me know what you think!!
P.s I will be posting more past sessions that never made it on my blog so keep checking back often!!
LOVE this one!!
Bailee, you are gorgeous!!
